Monica has maintained a successful practice for over ten years. She was a criminal prosecutor with the Maricopa County Attorney's Office and has practiced in various areas of law including bankruptcy, criminal defense, administrative law, educational law, complex civil litigation, and civil law (real estate, landlord tenant, employment, discrimination, contract, and family).

This diverse background and experience makes Monica uniquely qualified to comment on the varying legal topics and issues of the day. She has appeared as a legal commentator on ABC's Good Morning America, Fox's The O'Reilly Factor and Studio B, 'CNNs Headline News and Nancy Grace and numerous other network programs. With her experience as a former prosecutor, Monica has shared her legal insight on the trials of Phil Spector, Warren Jeffs and O.J. Simpson. She has also commented on issues related to schools, students, discrimination, child abuse and constitutional rights, to name a few.

Volunteering her time as a Judge Pro Tem with the Maricopa County Superior Court civil, criminal and family divisions is important to Monica. As a Judge Pro Tem she assists with court calendars and conducts settlement conferences. She also volunteers her time as a Member of the City of Scottsdale Board of Adjustments where she, along with the rest of the Board, makes decisions on variance requests within the City.

Monica believes in giving back to the legal community. She is currently a facilitator with the University of Phoenix teaching undergraduate courses in the fields of criminal justice and constitutional law. Additionally, for a number of years she has worked with Bar Bri of Arizona, Idaho and Utah tutoring students to prepare for the Arizona Bar Exam.

Monica received her Juris Doctorate from California Western School of Law and her Bachelor of Science from Northern Arizona University. She is licensed to practice in both Arizona and California, in both the state and federal courts.
